KOBA COCKTAIL LOUNGE - BRIGHTON
The very talented Mr Radcliffe was commissioned by Koba to turn a venue that failed three times, into a popular nightspot in Brighton. When Koba was first commissioned, Brighton cocktail bars were virtually non existent.
Radcliffe saw the opportunity to suggest Koba to be the first. Radcliffe's incredible creative vision boasts up to five different spaces to choose from, making The Koba Cocktail Lounge one of Brighton's all rounder venues. From a romantic basement Gallery room where the cocktail list and diners roam free, a Ruby Room with its own roaring fires and rich chocolate leather seating areas to their 80 cover Gods attic room doused in copper tones and impressive high ceilings, there's something for everyone at Koba where interiors are contemporary and defined.
The Koba Cocktail Lounge is today an award winning cocktail bar - voted one of the top ten bars in the UK by the Independent and nominated by Elle magazine as one of the best martini bars in Britain.
DESIGNING LIVING SPACES THAT ARE CHANGING TO MEET THE NEEDS OF TODAY AND TOMORROW
There are often times that we as designers reflect on the world and environment around us. When we have those moments, we will often act on an impulse to create a solution that disrupts conventional thinking. It is in those moments that our team gets into the studio and has some fun with abstract ideas to create the new, the fun and taking up the challenge of grounding us for what is possibly to come.
In this process we ask ourselves what the future of yesterday, the future of today, and the future of tomorrow could look like. We believe that the future of contemporary design's role is to provide beauty and comfort while continuing to disrupt and stimulate the senses to prevent emotional, physical, and intellectual complacency. That is the paradox of successful design - in the past, today, and for the future.
