DESIGNING A BRAND AND CREATING STRATEGIES TO BRING A NEW PRODUCT TO MARKET.
Worldline Luggage is an international award winning company, owned by a keen British cycle commuter, that designed Freefold, a new smart suit carrier that is unique and ideal for business flights or trips by bike or train.
The Challenge
Gauge interest in Freefold’s new smart suit carrier, identify product and market fit, develop the brand and raise brand awareness. The project was a collaboration between ourselves and a UK design firm. It involved industrial design of the Freehold suit carrier, logo development, a unified UX language, and assets for the device’s launch, as well as the development of early visual concepts to support an investor pitch.
The Outcome
Freefold is now patented globally and getting retailers orders. The product has sold 3000 units globally grossing the Worldline Luggage £40,000 in the 2015/16 business year. Currently a new, even lighter version of Freefold is being rolled out with a big international push with estimated sales of £1.2 million. The brand was started from the product and ground upwards. Worldline Luggage is now looking set to increase UK exports in the lucrative airline accessories market.
