COFFEE, COCKTAILS AND CINEMA: CREATING A COOL BRAND FOR A CONTINENTAL EXPERIENCE IN LIVERPOOL.
Café Tabac is a coffee, cocktail and cinema hangout that takes you away from Bold Street and onto the cobbled streets of Amsterdam. Working with a talented interior design team from Liverpool, we were asked to get on board to evolve this unique brand and advise on the revamp of their interior design.
The Challenge
Established in 1974, Cafe Tabac has been at the heart of the Liverpool City Centre Bohemian Cafe/bar scene for over 40 years. Our challenge was to create an identity that captured Café Tabac's heritage and oozed a cool retro vibe that was reminiscent of a continental experience in the heart of Liverpool.
The Outcome
The interior is reminiscent of the Nouvelle Vague period which makes you feel like you are in 60s Paris, that is until you hear the DJ playing 90s East-Coast hip-hop - a sign that Tabac takes the best bits of history and incorporates it into their ethos. Tabac stands for a sophisticated, flirty and chic experience. The re-brand resulted in Tabac's continued success in pleasing all its customers for the past 40 years.
