PROMOTING "THE BIGGEST PUB IN THE WORLD".
The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) is an organisation which promotes real ale, real cider and the traditional British pub. They support and promote many beer and cider festivals around the UK including The Great British Beer Festival (GBBF) which is styled as the "biggest pub in the world".
The Challenge
We were asked to get on board with a UK agency to pitch on the Full Branding and Communications Campaign for the CAMRA 2012 Great British Festival. The brief was to reflect the traditions of brand UK. The project required that the full spectrum of media was explored - from print, to online, to social media and PR executions. Our Euro/UK team were super excited in being the chosen agency who won the contract.
The Outcome
With great creative, a beer festival is by no means a hard sell. Especially with a great location, a positively overwhelming beer selection and an atmosphere on parr with any great beer festival around the world. The 2012 Great British Beer Festival had visitor numbers hit 47,500 - the highest ever recorded at Olympia. A great result for the client and a great result for us.
